As part of its ongoing Corporate Connect Series, GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research (GLBIMR) hosted an enriching session with Mr. Chirag Aneja, Manager – Talent Acquisition (Campus & Lateral), Compass Group India, on 24th July 2026. Designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry, the session offered students practical insights into today's dynamic corporate landscape and evolving talent expectations.

Drawing from his journey from the hospitality industry to talent acquisition, Mr. Aneja introduced students to Compass Group India's business operations, its technology-enabled food service solutions, and its commitment to sustainability and innovation. He encouraged students to envision their careers with purpose, highlighting the importance of long-term goals, curiosity, and continuous learning. A key discussion centred on AI-driven recruitment, where he explained how organisations leverage AI for resume screening and why internships, certifications, practical exposure, and relevant skills significantly influence hiring decisions. He further emphasised the growing importance of communication, critical thinking, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and AI literacy in today's workplace.

The interactive session gave fresh management students a realistic understanding of recruitment practices, industry expectations, and the competencies required to thrive in competitive corporate environments. It empowered them to align their academic journey with future career aspirations while building confidence for the professional world.
